Reimbursement Specialist - KnoxDo you want to helpensure the continued success of an organization known for its positive impactin our community?Do you have a passion for detail oriented work and ensuring accuracy in dataentry?And do it all while working where your hard work is appreciated?Join the McNabb CenterTeam as a Reimbursement Specialist for Insurance Verification or ClaimsFollow-up today!RESPONSIBILITIES:Claims Follow-up: - Audits all outstanding claims transactions to determine denial and take appropriate steps to correct the claim for reimbursment.Insurance Verification:
- Obtains and verifies a client's insurance coverage and ensures procedures are covered by an individual's insurance. Both Positions:
- Enter data accurately and update client information in billing system.
- Perform a variety of auditing and resolution-centered activities, answering pertinent questions about coverage to internal and external sources, identifying insurance errors, and recommending solutions.COMPENSATION: Starting salary for thisposition depending on experience is:
- HS/Equivalent: $16.25/hr.
- Associate's: $16.57/hr.
- Bachelor's: $16.88/hr.QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Associate's or Bachelor's preferred. Experience /Knowledge:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical insurance processing.
- Experience in behavioral/mental health billing, knowledge of CPT, and medical coding preferred.
- Understanding BHO (Behavioral Health Organizations)
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Commercial, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, TennCare's, Medicaid and Private Pay.
- Advanced computer skills with an electronic medical record (EMR), e-mail, Microsoft Word, and Excel.Physical:
- Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
- Hearing of normal / soft tones and close eye work.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.Location:
