Description: NOT A REMOTE POSITION The IT Data Analyst is primarily tasked with designing, generating, and analyzing ad hoc reports using statistical methodologies to bolster Prime Health Services' medical bill reduction products. This entails a keen focus on improving data quality and consistency, supported by in-depth statistical analysis. The role involves analyzing process controls, establishing common vocabulary, and conducting root cause analysis to fulfill program data requirements. The findings derived from statistical analysis are communicated to the Client Services Team for dissemination to current and prospective Clients. Moreover, the IT Data Analyst is expected to possess a robust understanding of the claims adjudication process and apply statistical techniques when recommending courses of action, leveraging proprietary Prime Health Services (PHS) technologies.Reporting to the IT Data Analytics Manager, the IT Data Analyst collaborates extensively with Client Services, Sales, Account Management, and other departments as necessary.Essential Job Functions - Review and analyze processes to standardize data, ensuring it is handled by authorized roles.
- Maintain a deep understanding of how systems data is utilized, triangulating various aspects into a usable statistical format.
- Aggregate data to produce diagnostic reports and predictive analytics.
- Identify data quality issues and establish internal data quality and auditing standards.
- Interpret claims data from diverse sources, effectively cleaning and standardizing it into a consistent format for accurate matching and analysis.
- Collaborate with application developers and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Analyze Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.
- Summarize results, perform statistical analysis, and present conclusions to management for review.Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in statistical programming, probability, statistics, data management, and proficiency in analytical and data visualization software are preferred.
- Strong understanding of the claims adjudication process is highly desired.Competencies
