Our client is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for their packaging manufacturing facility in the greater Hendersonville / Goodlettsville TN Area, just north of Nashville .
This is one of the companies flagship facilities that has recently been upgraded with the most modern equipment in Flexible Packaging and Flexographic Printing Manufacturing.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
Oversees implementation of procedures and monitors quality, production, and waste.Maintain goals of machine production, quality, waste, plant safety, and cleanliness.Complete final job approvals on daily production runs.Coordinate routine maintenance checks of machines for preventative maintenance and repairs needed and writes maintenance work orders if necessary to ensure efficient operation of machinery.Communication of production schedules established by Production Planner with previous and following shift.Check unavailable roll stock report on a daily basis Conducts monthly safety and quality meetings with employees.Oversees and maintain upkeep of production equipmentCommunicates with Customer Service Department to answer questions on production capabilities.Assists operators when needed in maintaining and adjusting equipment.Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality in ones' area of responsibility and continually monitor them to ensure they are effective.Attends supervisors' meeting with Plant Manager to discuss complaints, quality, monthly goals, and other concerns.Confirmation of job specifications on production runs in process.Ensure that materials are staged for production for oncoming shift.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelors Degree Preferred3+ Years of Manufacturing Experience - Preferably in Building Materials, Plastics, Paper, Flexible Poly Films, Film Extrusion, Bag Making and/or Flexographic / Wide Web Printing
2+ Years of Supervisor Experience Ability to Manage Multiple Tasks
Knowledge of GMP's, Safety Standards and Lean / 5s Principles More...
