Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Position Overview Role: OR Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights Shift: 12-hour Nights (Thursday–Saturday) Facility Type: Level 1 or 2 Trauma / Tertiary Care Center Unit Details - 12 Operating Rooms - 9 rooms run Mon–Fri (0700–1500), tapering throughout day - 20 Pre-Op Bays - 14 PACU Bays - Sleep room located in Pre-Op/PACU (closed at night) - Couches available in break room - Free Parking ‍⚕️ Patient Population - Urology - Neuro - Ortho - Robotic (Da Vinci XI) - General Surgery - Podiatry - ENT - Pre & Post Recovery (Phase I & II) - Some ICU-level recovery care required Patient Ratios - OR: 1:1 - Pre-Op: 1:2 - PACU Phase I: 1:1 or 1:2 (acuity-based) - PACU Phase II: 1:2–3 ✅ Required Experience - Minimum 2 years OR experience - Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience required - Surgical experience in a tertiary care center - Ortho-Trauma (ORIF, External Fixation, Amputations) - Neuro (Craniotomy, Spinal) - Robotics (Da Vinci XI) - General Surgery - Pre-Op & PACU experience (ICU skillset required in PACU) ⚠️ First-time travelers not accepted (email for approval if needed) Licensure & Certifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – South Dakota Board of Nursing - BLS (required) - ACLS (required) - Nursing program approved by Board of Nursing Charting & Equipment - EPIC (approval required if no experience) - Omnicell - Alaris About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
