Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Medication Assistant to join our Long Term Care (LTC) team. This role is pivotal in enriching the lives of our residents through exceptional care and the precise administration of medications. This position requires a detailed-oriented individual who adheres to all health and safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care in our LTC facility. Administer daily medications and treatments to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse, following strictly prescribed protocols. Monitor patients’ responses to medications and document therapeutic outcomes. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and stock medications according to facility policy. Participate in patient care assessments and contribute to care planning. Strong knowledge of medication types, uses, and administration methods. Excellent attention to detail for accurate medication administration. Superior communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and medical staff. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding patients’ health information.
