- Performs duties relative to patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse.
- Monitor areas and allow visitors in as appropriate.
- Performs clerical duties such as admission, discharge and transfer.
- Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining appropriate work environment.
- Responsible for keeping patient rooms, nursing unit, utility room, storage areas and hallways neat.
- Record vital signs, measure intake and output, reposition patients, assist patients in and out of wheelchairs, transport patients to other areas of hospital as directed. Education and/or Experience
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Must be 16 or older.
- Previous work in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred. Certification/Licensure/Registrations
- Nursing assistance certification preferred.
- Obtain certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within one year of employment. Work Schedule
- Varied Shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
- 6:00 am - 6:30 pm or 6:00 pm - 6:30 am
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
- Occasional call time Pay
