- Perform a broad range of laboratory testing in a hospital setting. -
- Fully automated, CAP-accredited laboratory.
- Every third weekend and holiday rotation.
- No call involved. -
Job Summary - Staff will be expected to work in the -microbiology section primarily with plate reading and culture setup. -
- Responsible for supplying inventory, quality control, reagent preparation, etc.
- Initiate and follow through with corrective action as well as manages workflow.
- Communicate laboratory data and pertinent technical information to appropriate departments, healthcare providers and individuals in both verbal and electronic means.
- Participate in development of procedures, protocols, lab manuals, new instrumentation, lab CQI or other activities as assigned.
Education and/or Experience - Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited two-year college program or technical school is required. -
- Six months to one year of related experience or training is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration - Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent required within 12 months of hire.
Work Schedule - Day Shifts; 72hours 2 weeks
- 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm
- Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation
Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. |
