  Job Summary
  
  The Scheduling Specialist is responsible for answering Centralized Scheduling phones to accept outpatient diagnostic orders from physicians for hospital departments; interprets physician request for diagnostic test and schedules single to multiple tests according to required patient care protocols. - Determines medical necessity validation and handles medical information along with transpiring medical orders into the health information system.
  
  Education and/or Experience
  
  
  
  
  • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved -nursing program is acceptable.
    
    
    Licensure/Certification/Registration
    
    
    
    
    • Licensed as a LPN in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required.
      
    • 3-5 years hospital, medical office, clinic, or hospital business operations experience required.
      
      
      Work Schedule
      
      
      
      
      • Monday - Friday; 72 hours every 2 weeks

          The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. -
