This role is crucial in aiding patients' recovery processes following surgery, injury, or illness, by employing tailored speech, communication, and swallowing therapies to enhance their rehabilitation outcomes and speed up their return to independence. The ideal candidate will be committed to high standards of patient care, have strong knowledge of therapeutic methodologies, and thrive in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. Assess and evaluate patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on each patient's specific needs. Educate patients and their families about communication techniques and strategies. Work collaboratively with other rehabilitation professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional standards. Strong understanding of speech-language pathology theory and practice. Ability to diagnose and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with electronic health record systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
