Assistant Project Manager - Columbia South Carolina

(Must be willing to travel to Bossier City for the first project) Responsibilities: Project Support: Assist the Project Manager in all aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of resources. Contract Management: Review contracts, subcontracts, and change orders to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in budget preparation, cost tracking, and forecasting to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints. Schedule Management: Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, identifying critical path activities and milestones. Communication: Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders, subcontractors, and field personnel, facilitating effective communication and resolving issues as they arise. Quality Assurance: Monitor project progress and performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Client Relations: Cultivate positive relationships with clients, addressing concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial electrical subcontracting or construction project management.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices. Compensation: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
