Located near beautiful Folly Beach, MUSC James Island Family Medicine is serving patients of all ages of James Island and surrounding areas. As part of the Medical University of South Carolina academic medical center, we are a busy residency clinic where patients are cared for by resident physicians (residents) as well as MUSC faculty physicians. Job Description

Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank

Education: High school diploma or GED and 0-6 months phlebotomy experience; or have been enrolled in a Medical Lab Technician/Technologist program, Clinical Laboratory Science program, or certified Phlebotomy program and have completed the phlebotomy clinical rotation.
