A part-time Registered Nurse position is available to provide essential healthcare support for an elementary student in a school setting. The role involves working closely with one student, ensuring their health and medical needs are managed effectively throughout the school day. Location: Wakefield, RI Schedule: Part-time, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, 5 days per week Age Group: Elementary student Caseload: One student, including accompanying the student on the school bus to and from school Qualifications: - Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island - Current CPR certification - Experience working in school nursing or pediatric settings is preferred - Ability to provide compassionate care and medical support to young students - Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with staff, students, and families Responsibilities: - Provide daily nursing care, health assessments, and treatments as needed for the assigned student - Monitor and document student health conditions and respond to emergencies appropriately - Accompany the student on the school bus, providing medical supervision and assistance during transit - Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to support the students health plan - Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and healthcare regulations Benefits include: - Highly competitive compensation - Weekly pay for consistent income - Comprehensive insurance options including medical, dental, vision, and life coverage - Matching 401(k) retirement plan - Flexible spending account for healthcare and dependent care expenses This role offers a flexible part-time schedule along with meaningful work supporting a students health in an educational environment.
