SPECIALIZED SERVICES

PART TIME NON EXEMPT



General Summary: Guard, patrol, or monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.

This position is temporary.



Essential Responsibilities:

• Patrolling and securing the area.
  
• Monitoring and analyzing CCTV camera footage.
  
• Guarding valuables in a secure area.
  
• Protecting the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
  
• Responding to alarms and emergencies.
  
• Communicating any irregularities with management.
  
• Keeping an incident report record.
  
• Following procedures for various initiatives including fire prevention, traffic control and accident investigations
  
• Checking visitors in and out of the area.
  
• Escorting visitors around the premises.
  
• Ensuring compliance with government regulations
  
• Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Education, Experience and Competencies:
  
  
  
  A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  A minimum of 2 years' experience in security focused work.
  Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in the community sector with diverse organizations and with individuals living with a range of diverse needs including disabilities, mental health, cultural diversity, and complex care needs.
  A thorough and keen attention to detail and excellent concentration skills.
  The ability to remain alert and aware of surroundings.
  An ability to remain patient and calm under pressure.
  Demonstrated high level of verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
