PURPOSE:The Procurement Project Manager (PM) is responsible for day-to-day project management of the Procurement team s $2B inventory across 60 distribution centers and execution of multiple projects through the project lifecycle. The PM is responsible to define and deliver within the agreed budget, scope and timelines and manages issues and risks through the project lifecycle. The PM isresponsible for articulating project status and managing expectations. The PM will work collaboratively with cross-functional business areas to achieve agreed project objectives, milestones and deliverables and ensure implemented solutions are of quality. This role should seek to contribute to improvements for the Procurement Project Program Management Discipline.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirementsGains approval from leadership when a project will entail a business investment of $500K or moreExecute buying feasibility analysis based on negotiated brackets during onboarding and offboarding businessDevelop clear milestones to measure against, prioritizing time and work as appropriatePresents project plan, deliverables, timelines and potential concerns to entire cross-functional project teamManage delivery with a sense of urgency while holding teams accountable for delivering work against project planMinimizes exposure and risk on project and ensures appropriate action is takenCollaborate with cross-functional leaders accountable for work against estimates- both in time and durationManages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scopeCreate DC-to-DC inventory transfers where a project requiresEffectively applies project methodology and enforces project standards while streamlining process for speed of deliveryManages, resolves and escalates to leaders, as appropriate, issues to ensure high quality deliverablesProvide project recommendations to Procurement leadershipEnsures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriatelyPerforms other relevant job duties as required--JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education/ Certifications: (Required/Preferred-list requirement is required or preferred)Bachelor s degree in a related field requiredPMP certification preferredSix Sigma certification preferredExperience:3-5 years of supply chain or procurement experience requiredProject management experience preferredSkills/ Abilities:Ability to make decisions utilizing the appropriate knowledge, information and expertise, in the face of uncertainty.Flexible and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologiesAbility to handle multiple assignments/projects concurrentlyAbility to follow a project methodologyDemonstrates strong public speaking and presentation skillsClearly demonstrates functional/technical expertiseDemonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work ingeographically dispersed teamsAbility to manage competing prioritiesMust have strong computer skills and be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project Excel andPowerPoint, VisioPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:Some travel may be requiredMost work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environmentIncumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminalWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach withhands and arms; and talk or hear.Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workdayStooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties--The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work performed by the employees assigned to this job.
