In this role, you will be instrumental in providing prompt and safe transportation services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all federal and local regulations related to commercial driving. Our drivers are a crucial part of how we demonstrate commitment to safety and efficiency on the road, representing our values and high standards of service to our esteemed clients. Operate a tractor-trailer or flatbed truck in urban, suburban, and rural areas to ensure safe delivery of goods. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper operational efficiency and detect any necessary repairs or maintenance. Manage routes and schedules effectively to optimize deliveries while adhering to customer timelines. Load and unload cargo, securing items to prevent damage during transportation. Maintain accurate driving logs, cargo records, and documentation in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations. Communicate with dispatch, warehouse managers, and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while resolving any delivery issues proactively. Proficiency in operating commercial vehicles, such as tractor-trailers and flatbed trucks. Strong time management and communication skills. Ability to navigate effectively with map and GPS technologies. In-depth understanding of DOT regulations and safety compliance.
