Pharmacist Location: State College, PA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,206 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Clinical Staff/Ambulatory Pharmacist Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmacist Duration: 12 months Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years, recent hospital experience preferred License: Current license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for reciprocation in Pennsylvania within 90 days of hire Certifications: Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years, preferred advanced practice certifications Must-Have: - Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required - Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred - If rotating to an ambulatory position, pharmacy residency experience preferred Description: The Clinical Staff/Ambulatory Pharmacist provides comprehensive patient care services through inpatient pharmacy functions. This includes order entry and verification, medication checking, dispensing, and other pertinent tasks that ensure safe and effective use of medications. The Pharmacist may also rotate into ambulatory roles, such as anticoagulation clinic services or oncology. The Clinical Staff/Ambulatory Pharmacist will be involved in patient care activities supporting a variety of patient populations, ranging from geriatrics to pediatrics. Knowledge of all current state and federal laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy is essential. The ability to positively interact with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, providers, nurses, and other health system employees is required. This position receives minimal supervision from the Pharmacy Manager and Supervisors. Holiday coverage is required.
