Duties/responsibilities include but not limited to: - Assesses and analyzes data relevant to the Dermatology Section and places a high priority on enhancing personalized, proactive patient driven care, as well as a culture of compliant business integrity.
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, consultation and provision of care and follow-up to patients with benign and malignant disorders of the integumentary system (Skin, mouth, external genitalia, hair, and nails), and sexually transmitted diseases.
- Works towards achieving Dermatology goals in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Assists the Chief of Dermatology with the clinical practice and works in collaboration with Physicians Assistants, inpatient and outpatient consults, electronic chart reviews, outpatient clinics, telehealth clinics, trainee education and research. Other duties may be assigned by the Chief of Dermatology as necessary.
- Works in compliance with all VHA prevention guidelines, patient safety goals and initiatives; and accreditation requirements.
- Ensures that all encounters are completed in a timely manner and consults are scheduled as appropriate and in accordance with local policy.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm (Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The applicant may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).
