This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, trouble shooting, problem solving, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC equipment and systems. What You'll Do: Provide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and development of staff, conduct performance evaluations and advising. Coordinate the recruiting and hiring of new employees. Coordinate and own the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines, metrics, and applicable safety and quality actions. Mentor and coach as needed. Manage relationships with clients, partners, and other collaborators as well as multi-functional teams and departments. Manage the profits and losses of the department or a specific division. Develop goals and initiatives to advise the department's course. Guide managers in implementing company initiatives and policies. Evaluate company processes and procedures to solve issues within them. Ensure business operations are implemented based on established procedures. Keep track of regulatory records and paperwork. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement. Apply knowledge of own field and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. Identify, solve, and resolve day-to-day and moderately sophisticated issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes. What You'll Need: - Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of proven experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC (experience in clean utilities and water systems are a plus.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and exciting performance and retention preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job field and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational and time management skills with a strong trouble shoot and problem-solving mindset.
- Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial related calculations.
