Functions in a 1st or 2nd scrub role, or as a Circulating Assistant. Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. National Certification (NBSTA) (NCCT) is required upon date of hire. National Certification is maintained and proof of 30 hrs of relevant continuing education every 2 years. Certification in NCCT with annual recertification.
