For more information, please visit and follow @JazzPharma on Twitter.Position Summary and Core Responsibilities:The Associate Medical Director, Jazz Oncology, Medical A---airs will support US Medical A---airs activities related primarily to HER2+ target therapy in Gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma (GEA) and secondarily only as it is needed in Biliary tract cancers (BTCs). This is an expert scientific and medical leadership position that develops and maintains non-promotional, evidence-based, transparent, and balanced scientific and educational programs and resources in support of HER2+ target therapy and the relevant disease states of interest.This position will report into the US Executive Medical Director, Jazz Oncology, and interacts closely with the Medical Director, Jazz Oncology, who maintains a leading role in BTCs and GEA. The Associate Medical Director provides support for the execution of GEA strategic initiatives, contribute to GEA Medical and Promotional review, and will pull through the GEA Medical Strategy in collaboration with other cross-functional partners.Other Specific Functions or Duties:This position is engaged in cross-functional partnership and provides Medical A---airs support to achieve numerous business goals by: - Monitoring and leveraging Medical insights to support and inform brand strategy,
- Working with commercial partners to support Market Access, Marketing activities (speaker's bureau, advisory boards, etc), sales training, sales leadership,
- Providing support for tactical execution of Medical Plans,
- Serving as a medical authority for review and approval of responses to unsolicited requests for medical information
- Supporting the execution of regional post-marketing studies to address unmet needs,
- Supporting Medical Congress activities including booth content, symposia, KOL engagements and other congress-related initiatives
- Working with Global Medical functions to provide regional scientific insights for the development of SRLs, field materials, and publications
- Collaborate with Patient Advocacy groups to ensure medical accuracy of presentation materialsThis position is part of the Jazz Oncology Medical A---airs Team by:
- Executing a Regional Medical Strategy that aligns with the Regional Brand Strategy and informs Global Medical Strategy
- Providing scientific expertise to ensure medical tactics are executed with the highest scientific and medical integrity,
- Providing scientific support for cross-functional initiatives,
- Meeting all administrative and compliance related activities within policy and on-time.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare/academic industry experience.
- Strong clinical or scientific background in Oncology.
- Expertise in the review, analysis, and interpretation of clinical-medical safety and e---icacy trial data, including adverse and serious adverse events, and clinical laboratory data,
- Experience working with marketed products early and mid-life cycle,
- Excellent presentation skills and demonstrated credibility within the medical Community.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Track record of creativity, high performance, and demonstrated ability to work.
- Independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Proven examples of influence and impact via virtual settings and creating innovative approaches to evolving medical community interactions through educational and evidence generation activities.Required/Preferred Education and Licenses:
