We are currently seekinga HIT Senior Advisor in any of our East Coast Offices. As a Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) Consultant - SeniorAdvisor is a multi-faceted role focusing on multiple areas, including but not limited to: HIT technical, clinical, and operational thought leadership; Understanding of architectural and engineering design; Consulting on all aspects of a healthcare facility design lifecycle from early concept to activation; and Client Relationship Management to develop a trusted advisor relationship. Serving as the expert in diverse technologies, this position will be part of a multi-disciplinary advanced consulting practice working with fellow associates and clients in a variety of capacities to ensure and increase the value of healthcare information technology (HIT) within a healthcare facility, improving the patient, caregiver and staff experience and identifying HIT solutions that can improve patient outcomes.Some key duties and responsibilities include: - Act as expert, liaison, and technical oversight for all HIT related matters in support of the design of a new healthcare facility.
- Lead the HIT strategic process for identifying the HIT related systems for a new facility
- Assist in the development of project budgets
- Collaborate with IMEG colleagues across multiple disciplines to drive and ensure high quality solutions throughout project delivery
- Make major design recommendations, major design decisions, calculate costs and propose time schedules with little input from senior staff
- Coordinate design plans and schedules with the client (including major stakeholders), the design team and related subcontractors (e.g., engineering, HIT vendors, equipment suppliers)
- Maintain project artifacts and deliverables (e.g., project documentation, deliverables, notes, agendas, and permanent project files)
- Independently meet with clients, prepare proposals and presentations, develop future projects, and maintain good client relations
- Identify prospective new clients and assist marketing, sales, and delivery teams in the development of new client engagements
- Manage junior staff on projects for project quality, timeliness, scope, and budget
- Provide mentorship, coaching to junior staff where appropriate
- Address project issues and/or escalation where appropriate
- Be a represent leader for IMEG Corp and IMEG's HIT Advisory Services by demonstrating leadership and professionalism
- Advance IMEG's Advanced Consulting Services Practice within the industry
- Continuously research new and advanced HIT to ensure IMEG's HIT Advisory Services is providing current and future thought leadershipKey skills and abilities needed for the position are:
- Expert at facilitating decisions and discussion with client executive leadership (e.g, CIO, CTO, CFO, CMO, CMIO, CNO, CNIO, CXO, etc.,)
- Previous management in the design, build and/or activation of a new healthcare facility (includes new or renovations relating to hospital, medical office building, rehabilitation centers, senior living facilities)
- Ability to independently manage teams (internal, client and vendor) with no supervision
- Excellent project management skills to ensure successful project management of project budget, scope, outcomes, quality assurance, resources, and issues identification and resolution
- Ability to work collaboratively with new facility teams, including architects, engineers, facility, security, and other subcontractors as appropriate
- Knowledge of the healthcare information technology solutions, vendors, and trends (e.g., EMR vendors, market trends relating to data analytics, remote care, telehealth/medicine, mobile health, digital health, etc.)
- Understanding of the healthcare regulatory environment and its impact on the new facilities and design (e.g., JACHO, HIPAA, HITECH, NFPA-99)
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, DMAIC, etc.
