Job Description AECOM is seeking a Construction Assessor to work remotely from the Greater Philadelphia area for the Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP) which is responsible for bringing Amtrak stations into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The ADASP implements design and construction of infrastructure improvements to provide accessibly to Amtrak's intercity rail transportation system. This position will be part of a Joint Venture (AECOM & Jacobs) that is providing staff and services to Amtrak. The Construction Assessor will lead assessment teams to Amtrak stations nationwide to assess, measure and document site conditions pre and post construction. They will work with the Program Assessment Manager to implement an effort that is critical to the program's success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -
Perform ADA site assessments at Amtrak Stations nationwide -
Prepare field sketches, photos, and field measurement documents -
Prepare detailed assessment reports documenting ADA non-compliance and construction deficiencies -
Prepare punch lists and work with construction team to seek resolution -
Plan and coordinate staff, travel, and execution of field assessments. -
Interpret & apply International Building Codes, ANSI A117.1 and ADA Guidelines DOTAS 2006 -
Maintain schedules and report status of ADA Assessments -
Support a culture of safety and quality Office Location: Remote/program office 1801 Market Street, Philadelphia PA Travel and Working Conditions: +/- 50% (3-5 days of out-of-town travel is anticipated every 4-6 weeks) Some outside activities in all weather and seasons Qualifications Minimum Requirements: -
High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of Construction Inspection experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -
Valid U.S. Driver's License, and as a condition of employment must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review. Preferred Qualifications: |
