Envestnet Financial Technologies, Inc. seeks - Senior Platform Engineer in Berwyn, PA. Duties: Senior Platform Engineer supports our multiple cloud organizations including AWS and GCP. This support includes:

• Developing automation via Python / GoLang to ensure standard guardrails are effectively rolled out to the cloud environment at scale.
• Designing and creating resources via Terraform / CloudFormation to ensure repeatable, scalable operations across multiple AWS / GCP accounts.
• Senior Platform Engineer will lead designs and implementations of organization access patterns, enterprise solutions, and work with newly acquired organizations to provide guidance on how to align with Envestnet's standards.
• Senior Platform Engineers will be involved in design, implementation, and maintenance of Envestnet's cloud networking.
• Responsible for user and permission management, budget configuration, and security guardrails of the cloud platform.
• Provisioning Cloud accounts in accordance with Envestnet standards. Senior Platform Engineers will be required to operate and maintain Envestnet's enterprise tooling including:
  • Ensuring backup processes are in place and functioning.
  • Proper monitoring is enabled and effectively alerting to identify issues as early as possible.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain various Kubernetes and EC2 based applications.
  • Work with the various groups around the organization to ensure our enterprise tooling is fulfilling the necessary requirements.
  • Running Proof of Concepts on new tooling to ensure they meet Envestnet's requirements and security standards.
  • Responsible for user and permission management of enterprise tooling.
  • Operate and maintain centralize artifact repository.
  • Operate and maintain centralized code repository. Senior Platform Engineers will be required to work with all portions of our organization to ensure Envestnet's cloud platform is meeting the needs of the organization. This includes the product, workload, engineering, infrastructure operations, security, and finance teams. This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of experience as a DevOps professional, or related occupation, or experience in financial technology services, or a related field. Alternatively, the company will accept a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus 2 years of experience as a DevOps professional, or related occupation, or experience in financial technology services, or a related field. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) Building AWS cloud native services including: EC2, S3, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda, AWS Organizations, and AWS Networking technologies; (2) Utilizing CICD pipelines including GitLab for building or configuring pipelines for development and deployment of software; (3) Infrastructure as code using tools including: Terraform, CloudFormation, and Chef; (4) Installing, configuring and troubleshooting both Windows and Linux based environments; (5) Utilizing scripting and automation including: Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Terraform; (6) Monitoring and logging in production environment utilizing Splunk, New Relic, CloudTrail, and CloudWatch; (7) Networking including: OSI, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewall rule management. 100% Telecommuting Permitted. 40 hours/week.
