Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area ST to join our Oregon team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing Communication systems within the designated area. This position offers the opportunity to work with innovative technology and contribute to the success of major projects while providing technical leadership and support to our team.



Responsibilities:

- Lead and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Communication systems in the designated area.

- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians, ensuring the successful completion of projects and tasks.

- Conduct training sessions for technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge of Radio Systems.

- Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and develop effective implementation strategies.

- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and programming of Communication equipment, including 2-way radios, transmitters, receivers, and antennas.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies while maintaining accurate records of work performed.

- Participate in meetings and discussions with clients to understand their needs and provide technical recommendations.

- No On Call Rotation but this is public safety so sometimes its all hands on deck.



Qualifications:

- Extensive experience (8+ years) in maintaining and troubleshooting Communication systems.

- Strong technical proficiency in 2-way radio and wireless communication systems theory.

- Proficient in computer usage, programming, diagnostics, and repair of complex communication systems.

- Knowledge of dispatch consoles, paging infrastructure, and trunked radio systems.

- Relevant certifications such as FCC GROL, Motorola R56, and valid driver's license.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor technicians effectively.

- Ability to travel within the assigned area and occasionally to other locations for training and project deployments.
