Responsibilities
- Ensure all equipment needed for procedures is disinfected, assembled, and functioning properly
- Prepare patients for their surgery, arrange medical equipment and assist doctors during surgical procedures
- Open supplies and instruments utilizing the aseptic technique
- Prepare the operating room for pre-assigned cases using physician preference
- Sterilize equipment and provide surgeons instruments upon their request during surgical procedures
- Order, replenish, and take inventory of supplies and other surgical supplies as needed
Qualifications
Job Requirements - Possess an accredited Surgical Technologist Certification OR be willing and eligible to obtain it within the first six months of employment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active BLS certificationPreferred Job Requirements
