Tests include range of motion, gait, and functional analysis, as well as neurological assessments. Determines individual rehabilitation program needs. Provides or oversees ongoing assessment of claimant's/client's rehabilitation. Prepares, transmits, and maintains measurement and assessment records. Reports tests, assessments, and measurements to interdisciplinary teams as requested. Participates in the writing and presentation of individual claimant/client treatment plans. Formulates goals and plans appropriate physical therapy treatment. Plans periodic reassessment of claimant/client progress and revises plans as necessary. Participates in ongoing continuing education and in-service training. Engages in research projects and program development. Involves in training of pre-clinical and clinical physical therapy students. Also trains physical therapy assistant students and licensed physical therapy assistants.
