Support students with severe behavioral needs in a structured educational environment at a specialized school serving grades K8. This contract role is based near Levittown, PA, with main office operations in Doylestown, PA. The position focuses on working with a high-intensity severe needs population, where students may exhibit aggressive or self-injurious behaviors and require intensive safety interventions. Key Responsibilities: Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions in a classroom setting. Support students with autism and severe behavioral challenges. Apply safety protocols and behavioral supports to intervene and de-escalate intense situations. Collaborate with educators and specialists to maintain a consistent, structured environment. Attend mandatory orientation sessions held every other week from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Maintain detailed records and communicate student progress with the team. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of one year of ABA paraprofessional experience. Proven experience supporting students with autism and severe behavioral needs. Familiarity with ABA interventions. Comfortable working within a highly structured behavioral program that requires safety interventions. Must reside within 35 minutes of Levittown, PA. Hold one of the following credentials or meet associated educational requirements: At least 48 college credits, Associate degree or higher, Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Credential of Competency. If credential requirements are not currently met, completion of a 7-module paraprofessional training during onboarding and credential submission within 60 days is mandatory. Additional Details: Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 3:30 PM, 37.5 hours per week. Contract runs from ASAP through June 12, 2026 (school calendar, tentative). Mandatory orientation every other week. Candidates should be prepared for a thorough screening, including skill highlights, references, and understanding of PA DOE credential timelines.
