Job SummaryThis position is responsible for the day-to-day facility maintenance operations of the one distribution center located in Groveport, Ohio. A high degree of electrical and mechanical systems experience combined with a knowledge of all the construction trades is necessary. Additionally, hands on expertise of plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywalling, electrical and HVAC maintenance and operations is required. When necessary to hire outside contractors, coordinate with the Senior Facilities Manager and provide oversight of vendor performance, as directed. Some travel to our Green distribution center may be required. Responsibilities Hands on repair, maintenance, replacement, and / or oversight of service providers as needed of the following: Safety - Ensure facility stays in compliance with all OSHA and EPA requirements. Interior structures MasonryDrywall Carpentry Painting and Flooring Pain touch-ups to entire rooms/areas Repair and replacement of flooring as needed General Dock doors repair and maintenanceDock leveler repairs and maintenanceInterior and exterior door repair and replacementFire doors preventative maintenanceInsect and pest controlAdditional ResponsibilitiesProactively identify potential facility issues and present resolution options to Senior Facilities ManagerPlan, schedule and oversee external contractors to ensure quality control, professionalism, minimal operational interference, and their recommended scope of work is the right solution and is cost effective. Monitor expenses and meet approved fiscal budget Support 3 PL safety programs to ensure all associates are working in a safe environmentSupport 3 PL operations requests to support efficient and successful operations resultsQualifications QualificationsA minimum of 10 years in facilities management with hands-on experience.Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems Knowledge of all the construction trades is necessary.
