Flavorseal is continually striving to improve our products, our processes, and our business, and we rely on each and every employee to help meet and exceed our goals.We are seeking a Junior Engineer to join our Knitting Department.Key responsibilitiesHands on position in the Knitting Department.Maintain open weave knitting machines.Will be responsible for creating/designing new style/design changes.Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing equipment.Create process documentation including drawings, work instructions, and other engineering specifications as required to support new product introduction.Operating and changing over open weave knitting machines to produce quality products, while maintaining high efficiency and product output.Run yarn knots for design and lot changes into the machines.Responsible for product testing, report accuracy, failure analysis of returned goods, and analyzing results.Fix press-offs.Change broken needlesKeep machines and equipment de-slubbed and lint-free.Recognize and correct defects in the knitted product produced.Ensure the proper routing of yarn from the creel to the yarn carrier.Produce first quality product while maintaining high efficiency.Perform the job safely and follow all GMP's.Other duties as assigned.Skills requiredAssociate's degree.-- Bachelor's degree preferred.Mechanical background.Ability to lift yarn bobbins up to 20 lbs. above your head repeatedlyAbility to stoop down and climb laddersAble to work independently.Team player.
