RESPONSIBILITIES - WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - Respond to teachers and Directors regarding those in need whether it be students/clients or staff members
- Assist Directors, teaching staff, students, and families navigate critical events/crisis, including times when Child Protective Services have involvement
- Advocate for and develop plans to improve an individual's' well-being
- Research and refer clients to community resources
- Work with individuals, families or groups
- Experience with billing insurance/medicaid for social work services
- Hold current credentialing with major insurance/medicaid companies or willingness to obtain credentialing
- Respond to clients/staff in crisis situations and aid in de-escalation
- Observe client behavior, assess needs and create treatment strategies if applicable
- Help families to cope with new diagnoses of psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders
- Consult with doctors, therapists and medical professionals if needed
- Administer social service professional developments
- Attend IEP meetings when needed
- Meet IEP minutes for students requiring mental health services (weekly and/or monthly)
- Provide supervision to LSWs
- Willingness to travel to throughout Central Ohio
- Attends monthly Risk Management meetings at each TLS site
- Willingness to have a flexible schedule during times of crisis.
