We are looking for those who are committed to these same values. Our Corporate Finance department is seeking a Sales Audit Accountant to be responsible for a multitude of tasks. This person will report to the Sales Audit Supervisor and will work closely with our retail stores as well as other departments within the organization. They will audit daily store accounting, combat credit card and debit card chargebacks, and perform other various duties in the Finance department. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: - Audit daily store sales accounting reports
- Administrate the company's check guarantee program
- Respond to credit card and debit card chargeback disputes with evidence arguing against customers' refund claims
- Using Excel, maintain the chargeback database to facilitate various chargeback reports
- Audit and summarize petty cash expense reports of the retail stores
- Assist in the preparation of monthly chargeback and petty cash expense reports
- Maintain the weekly and monthly reconciliation of all credit card receipts from Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express
- Provide a monthly report to the supervisor of forced settled debit card chargebacks and reversals
- Reconcile daily receipts of subscription sales
- Assist in preparing monthly merchant fee expense reports
- Generate various reports, including detailed ad hoc reporting as needed by various business units
- Administrative duties associated with the position (filing, mailing, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - High School diploma required with at least 3-5 years of clerical or finance experience
- Ability to adapt to multiple computer and software systems
- Customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are a must
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Professional demeanor and appearance
