We are looking for an Engineering Operations Manager to join, support and enable our cross-functional Engineering Team. While our Engineering Managers are focused on developing the skills of our Software Engineers and our products, the Engineering Operations Manager's customers are our Engineers, and any cross-functional team they collaborate with. Loop HQ is a state-of-the-art office located in Columbus, Ohio, and more than half of our team works remotely across the United States and Canada. You can choose to join us in the Columbus office or stay fully remote in this role. What You'll Do: - Implement and optimize systems and processes - ensure the latest best practices, processes and tools are in place and available for the Engineering team.
- Create and manage user feedback loops - partner with Engineering, Product, and Data to ensure our Engineering Team has consumable feedback from our users, 3rd party vendors, and partners. This includes building systems to review, capture and analyze data.
- Partner with Data Analysts to analyze, synthesize and automate data created for or used by engineering teams. -
- Build reports and spreadsheets to help aggregate information and data, building visibility into the health and function of the engineering organization. -
- Manage information governance and the organization of that information, creating actionable data and insights for our teams. -
- Streamline routine tasks - identify tasks that can be automated or simplified to free up more time for the Engineering team and leaders. -
- Standardize communications across the organization - work with the Engineering Managers and Directors, stakeholders and leadership to ensure effective and timely communication.
- Onboard new Engineering team members - Work with people managers to help get new team members up and running in their new roles to raise the bar of the overall Engineering team.
- Identify knowledge gaps on the Engineering team, and lead the solutions to fill them.
- Support the Engineering team's professional development and overall knowledge by identifying training needs and opportunities, and working with leadership to get the team the training they need.
- Use tools such as Jira, DataDog, Github, and Notion to help organize and steer the Engineering organization towards success. Your Experience:
