A -Manufacturing Engineering Manager - with 7 years' progressive level manufacturing engineering management experience is needed an hour outside of Sioux Falls. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager - is responsible -for the planning, introduction, implementation, and improvement of products, processes, and procedures into the manufacturing system to ensure the attainment of desired objectives for the least cost, and to recommend to management developments in manufacturing that will enhance the profitability or competitive position of the company. - This is a relocation to South Dakota (no state income tax). Relocation expenses will be paid by employer for exceptionally qualified candidates. Only those currently authorized to work within the United States without restriction or special consideration will be considered. - Manufacturing Engineering Manager Responsibilities: - Plan and coordinate the introduction of new products, parts, and manufacturing processes, including routings, methods, and procedures.
- Develop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing methods to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Manufacturing Engineering Team, ensuring high performance and positive team dynamics.
- Review and approve equipment specifications, performance requirements, and cost analyses for machinery integration into the manufacturing process.
- Establish bills of material, manufacturing routings, and new work centers, creating work instructions for new products.
- Oversee the development and implementation of new processes, methods, and production controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth product flow and quality throughout the factory.
- Study and record production processes to establish standard rates and improve efficiencies, implementing changes as needed.
- Confer with customers, engineering staff, and vendors to ensure efficient production methods and recommend equipment purchases.
