Job Title: Interventional Radiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Current state license required Certifications: RT (R, VI or CV), ARRT Must-Have: - Experience with laser-assisted procedures - Proficient in PACS - Experience maintaining equipment and inventory - Ability to stock supplies - Experience with angioplasty, aortography, embolization, endograft placement, IVC filter placement and removal, inferior vena cavogram, mesenteric angiogram, pelvic angiography, renal angiography, selective visceral angiography, stent placement, superior vena cavogram - Experience with carotid stenting, central venous access/port placement, dialysis graft creation/revision, dialysis graft interventions, endovascular interventions - Proficient in upper and lower extremity angiography, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, fluoroscopy - Skilled in using Philips and Siemens equipment, ultrasound, and accurate monitoring - Ability to prep access sites and maintain a sterile field - Familiar with vascular closure systems (e.g., Perclose, StarClose) and isolation precautions Description: This position involves working in endovascular hybrid suites. The tech will assist surgeons during endovascular cases. The tech may also run a c-arm in open rooms for vascular surgeries. The tech will run and maintain Siemens equipment during cases. PACS will be used to pull up imaging as needed. The tech will be expected to work one night per week and every third weekend. Contract staff may be required to respond to catastrophic events or disasters. The unit has a ratio of 1:1. There are specific weekend requirements and a maximum allowable RTO of 7 days. Travelers must complete all required testing within 48 hours after signing. Candidates may float to other units based on skill sets and census needs. This role requires adherence to safety and operational protocols. Travel pairs are allowed but must work on different units. References are preferred upon submission. Fatigue policy limits work to no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours in a week. Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, with hours varying by specialty.
