This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high-performance team in a rapidly growing small business. This position plays a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for managing the overall accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, month end managing a small team. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Oversee regulatory reporting. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. Support month-end and year-end close process. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Participate in strategic financial planning and analysis. Additional controller duties as necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience working in high growth, small businesses Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Experience with creating financial statements. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
