See links below to learn more about Siemens Mobility: What excites our people about Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8nddK1NZSk Position Overview: Siemens Mobility is seeking to hire a Commercial Project Manager - Factory for our Lexington, NC Plant under Rolling Stock, Manufacturing North America to support current and future production backlog. You will be fully accountable to the commercial and financial operations management through the project execution as you collaborate with internal partners. An ability to multi-task and drive actions together with Production Managers for keeping the projects on schedule, on budget and with high quality, will be critical to the role. This role will be based in Lexington, NC with a hybrid work schedule. What your day-to-day will look like: - Interface with Projects Team on a monthly basis regarding status of production hours (standard and non-standard) and any root causes identified to facilitate appropriate corrective measures, internally and / or externally to Operations
- Controlling of manufacturing costs related to a platform
- Perform deviation analysis to standard hours; quarterly evaluation of level of standard hours for platform / project and action for adjustments
- Perform planning and reporting (monthly closing, forecasts, budget planning); identify key drivers impacting manufacturing performance
- Ownership and creation of factory offers submitted to Rolling Stock Sales for opportunities
- Control and coordination of internal factory interfaces
- Implement and drive measures together with Production Managers to improve manufacturing performance and increase productivity
- Interface with functional teams, internal and external to Operations (Factory Management, Production, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Business Controlling, Enterprise Scheduling, Order Management, Performance Controlling, etc.) to drive continuous transparency on bottlenecks impacting productions value chain, and to enable the most current up to date view of any given project with the aim to proactively mitigate non-standard hours, delivering quality vehicles on time and withing budget
- Creation of incoming orders calculation
To thrive in this role, you have: - Bachelor's degree required, with a major in Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting preferred
- 3+ years of validated experience with financial planning, accounting, and finance, with the ability to provide strategic insight through financial metrics
- Advanced analytical abilities, financial modeling, strong Microsoft Excel, Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP a plus), and strong business modeling skills
- Excellently demonstrated verbal and written communication skills while interacting at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work in an agile environment
- Focus on continuous improvement
