They specialize in exciting commercial, education, and municipal projects, both ground-up and renovations, ranging $1M-$30M.They are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to learn under their Vice President, who has taken the company to the next level and is coming from a Top ENR GC background. The APM/PE will be doing a lot of subcontract agreement management, estimating support, submittal and RFI processing, billings for owners and subs, as well as some normal office functions and marketing/HR support. They are looking for someone eager to learn and looking to be a Project Manager with the organization in the future.They are one of the fastest growing GC's in Raleigh, going from $0 worth of work to $60M+ in just under 2 years. - Estimating support
- Submittals processing
- RFI processing
- Owner and subcontractor billings
- Marketing support
- HR support
- Helping the Project Manager on projects, such as getting things started and helping again during close-out
- Other normal office functionsProfileThe successful Project Engineer will have the following experience:
- 1+ years of Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager experience with a General Contractor
- Experience working on commercial construction projects
- Degree is preferred but not required
- Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred - Excel, item tracking
- Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
- Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
- Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level
