Your Role at BaxterThis is where we make life-saving productsThe supervisor position is responsible for directing the daily activities of a maintenance team. These responsibilities as well as others could include setting priorities, assigning work, being a technical resource, personnel development and working with other departments for a specific production area / shift to ensure manufacturing goals and project deadlines are met while maintaining compliance with current good manufacturing practices (GMPs), good documentation practices (GDPs) environmental health and safety (EHS) guidelines and any other regulations that could apply.Your TeamBaxter is focused on saving and sustaining lives by finding solutions to complex problems. - Oversee and lead a maintenance team that could include mechanics and technicians to support operations in an area
- Oversee execution of assigned shutdown and / or other projects.
- Ensure compliance as it relates to PMs, maintenance documentation, training, quality, 6s, safety.
- Provide a positive and equitable working environment emphasizing the Baxter Shared Values - Respect, Responsiveness and Results.
- Support and Emphasize the Safety and Quality commitments of the department - make decisions concerning these commitments within the area.
- Provide direction of resources in the most efficient and productive manner possible.
- Identify/prioritize/provide resources on a shift to assist the superintendent to meet the annual operational plan and budgetary commitments,
- Facilitate, verify, and even conduct appropriate training for employees in the area (including but not limited to GMP, troubleshooting, maintenance skills, and safety)
- Ensure compliance with all GMP rules, specifications, SOPs, and FDA requirements as required.
- Commit to employee feedback and developmental process - support Talent Management goals, conduct recognition and disciplinary action for employees, facilitate employee representation throughout the organization.
- Submit and/or maintain and distribute reports related to attendance, labor, maintenance metrics, safety, and others as needed.
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
- Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)What you'll bring
