Job Title: Aviation Assembly TechnicianLocation: Rocky Mount, North CarolinaPay Rate: $23/hourShift: Third Shift, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Sunday-Thursday (with some mandatory weekends)Subcontractor Bonus Program to 3k, and a change in the pay-out structure:--- $1k at 14 days w/perfect attendance;--- $1k at 60 days--- $1k at 90 days** to get 60 and 90 day bonus; worker must have received 14 day bonus.Must have mechanical and technical experience. Our products cater to both commercial and military applications, requiring precision and adherence to stringent quality standards.Job Description: As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for conducting standard testing processes on a variety of equipment, analyzing results, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific tests and testing equipment. This role demands mechanical and technical experience, along with proficiency in computer operations and teamwork.Key Responsibilities: - Utilize precision tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment for assembly, in-process inspections, calibration, and testing of hydro-mechanical fuel controls in an aerospace production/quality environment.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations at all times.
- Follow electronic work instructions, engineering and quality procedures, blueprints, and specifications.
- Perform visual inspections of parts and products to maintain quality standards.
- Identify and report faulty operations, defective tools, and materials, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with established procedures.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization standards in work areas and tools according to Visual Management and 5S Principles.
- Participate in daily Tier meetings and contribute to continuous improvement and rapid problem-solving initiatives.
- Complete all other related duties as assigned by supervisors.Basic Qualifications:
- US Citizen.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in following detailed assembly and test instructions, interpreting blueprints/drawings.
- Ability to use precision measuring devices and various hand tools.
- Basic computer skills, including internet navigation and MS Office.
- Intermediate math skills.Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in an assembly and/or test manufacturing environment.
- North Carolina Work Keys Career Readiness certificate, Silver or Gold preferred.
- Six Sigma training or certification.
- Associates degree.
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced aerospace production environment.
- Demonstrated adherence to 5-S principles and participation in continuous improvement activities.Additional Requirements:
