The Timken Company plant located in Randleman, NC is seeking a productive, bold, determined individual able to provide the highest level of industry leading environmental, health and safety programs at the Timken Asheboro facility, and to support compliance in accordance with all Federal, State, Local and company rules and regulations. This is a key position on the plant staff, representing Environmental Health & Safety with continuous improvement responsibilities. Responsibilities Establish and execute strategic plans for the development and operation of the EHS functions for the Timken Asheboro Facility. Support compliance relating to applicable Federal, State and local rules and regulations, including OSHA and EPA Standards. Complete or monitor the completion of EHS tasks as required.Establish, communicate and drive direction relating to EHS compliance and training. Work with contingent and contractor resources and outside vendor relationships to ensure EHS expectations are communicated/understood. Partner with plant leaders of all functions to ensure training, understanding and on-going compliance and education for all associates on all matters pertaining to EHS. Develop and track quantitative measures of performance for areas of responsibility and effectively communicate the status of goals and objectives with leadership, staff, supervisors and associates. Employ basic problem-solving techniques to drive hazard/risk reduction and improve EHS performance.Facilitate continuous Improvement projects management, as assigned, including planning, seeking, researching and implementing improved processes and procedures. Ensure projects are consistent with and support short term and long-term site objectives. Communicate project status.
