Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Acute Care - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an ED, Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at Prestigious Hospital in Niagara Falls, NY. Job Function: /n - Night Shift. /n - 3x12. /n - Recognizes aspects and implications of patient status that vary from normal and reports to or collaborates with appropriate health team members for input. /n - Will work with acute/chronic patients, inpatients and outpatients. /n - Assesses daily assigned patient care needs and collaborates with direct and ancillary patient care staff as needed. /n - Directs and provides, in collaboration with direct and ancillary patient care staff, all aspects of the daily provision of safe and effective delivery of chronic hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients. /n - Administers medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s), and documents appropriate medical justification and effectiveness. /n - Assesses, collaborates, and documents patient/family’s basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education to patients and family. /n /n /n - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). /n - Current, valid RN license for the state of which you are working in. /n - 2 years of ED experience is required. /n - BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required. /n - Cerner EMR experience is highly preferred. /n /n Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
