Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare institution affiliated with a medical college, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our D5E Neuroprogressive Care unit. This role focuses on providing specialized nursing care to patients with complex neurologic conditions in a progressive care environment. The selected candidate will work closely with an interdisciplinary team, applying advanced clinical skills to manage and improve patient outcomes while contributing to ongoing research and education. Provide comprehensive and patient-centered nursing care for neuroprogressive patients. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and document patient care administered. Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment, and home care preparations. Contribute to medical research and patient care improvements. Participate in the training and mentorship of junior nurses and nursing students. Strong clinical skills with a focus on neurology and progressive care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Capability to manage complex patient situations with compassion and professionalism.
