The contract length is for 13 weeks. The primary responsibilities include adult critical care and emergency services. The ideal candidate should be proficient with intubation, extubation, and airway management. Experience with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), congestive heart failure (CHF), pneumonia, and respiratory failure is essential. Candidates will be floating between long-term care and acute care settings as needed. Weekend coverage is expected every other weekend, totaling six shifts over the 13-week contract. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including therapy and respiratory services. The environment will require troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation. An understanding of ETT, NT suctioning, and sputum specimen collection is necessary. Applications from those with long-term care, LTAC, and trauma care experience are preferred.
