Job Description Our client, a leading multi-specialty physician practice committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across the Hudson Valley region, is hiring a Gastroenterologist . This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient gastrointestinal care within a collaborative, technologically advanced environment, supporting community health and well-being. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary disorders. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, polypectomy, biopsy, and hemostasis. Manage chronic GI conditions such as IBS, IBD, GERD, liver disease, and oversee colorectal cancer screening. Interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory results, imaging, and pathology reports. Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care. Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR). Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical meetings, and ongoing medical education. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Supervise Advanced Practice Providers as needed and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency. Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. Active and unrestricted New York State medical license or eligibility. Current DEA registration. Proven commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care. Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience with electronic medical records systems.
