This assignment offers a highly attractive compensation package and a manageable daily surgical volume within a collaborative operating room environment. The hospital ideally seeks a provider able to cover two consecutive weeks per month , though scheduling flexibility may be available. The position focuses on bread-and-butter anesthesia cases , supporting a busy surgical service line including orthopedic and general surgery cases as well as obstetric coverage. Market Pay Ranking: Top 5% nationally for locum anesthesiology assignments (2026 market data) Assignment Highlights Coverage Dates: June 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026 Schedule: Monday – Friday Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Call: Required (OB and OR coverage) Call response time: Must be within 15 minutes Case Volume: Approximately 4–5 cases per day 100% OR coverage with L&D involvement 9 operating rooms Epic EMR Temporary privileges available for clean files Travel and lodging prepaid Malpractice insurance covered Compensation ranked Top 5% nationally Job Responsibilities Provide anesthesia coverage for a broad range of surgical services including: Orthopedic surgery General surgery OB/GYN procedures ENT procedures Plastic surgery Vascular surgery Colorectal surgery Urology Gastroenterology procedures Responsibilities include: Administering anesthesia for surgical and obstetric procedures Performing regional anesthesia blocks when appropriate Managing perioperative anesthesia care Collaborating with surgeons and operating room teams Participating in OB and OR call coverage This role involves bread-and-butter anesthesia cases , with no cardiac, neurosurgical, or complex cranial procedures required .
