Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare institution combining a top-tier hospital with a state-of-the-art medical school, is seeking a dedicated RN-Otolaryngology Nurse to join our innovative team. This position involves specialized care of patients suffering from disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck. As part of our otolaryngology department, you will work directly with ENT specialists to provide quality patient care, assist in surgical procedures, and contribute to treatment plans. Your role will be pivotal in managing patient care in preoperative and postoperative settings, educating patients and their families, and ensuring the efficacy of ENT treatments and interventions. Assess, plan, and administer nursing care to ENT patients. Assist physicians during examinations and surgical procedures. Educate patients and their families on ENT disorders and post-treatment home care needs. Monitor patient recovery and respond to emerging patient care needs. Maintain accurate patient records and administer medications as prescribed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care. Strong clinical skills in a hospital setting Excellent patient care and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions In-depth knowledge of ENT disorders and treatments Proficiency in using medical software for patient management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
