Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active NY license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in MS/Tele - Competency in placing IVs - Ability to interpret dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Use of rapid response/code teams - Peripheral line care/management - Oxygen administration - Non-invasive airway management - Isolation precautions/PPE Description: This is a Med/Surg/Tele unit. The unit serves as an overflow space to accommodate ED border patients. It consists of 14 beds and operates flexibly based on demand. Patient volume may increase or decrease depending on boarder numbers. The unit supports adult and geriatric populations. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 5:1 during the day and 7:1 at night. Float assignments may include care for ED holding patients. Minimal RTO is preferred, and weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Candidates should have experience with the Epic charting system. Short-term travelers are welcome, and prior charge experience is preferred.
