Job Description Job Description We are looking for a dedicated and organized Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in New York, New York. This is a long-term contract role with the potential for permanent placement, offering an opportunity to contribute to the HR department's efficiency and success. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of HR functions, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities: • Provide administrative support to the HR department, ensuring smooth daily operations. • Maintain and update spreadsheets and databases to organize employee and department information. • Assist with scheduling and coordinating events, including occasional weekend commitments for major events. • Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Excel and other tools. • Respond to employee inquiries and provide assistance with HR-related processes. • Support recruitment activities, including resume screening and interview scheduling. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all administrative tasks. • Collaborate with team members to improve organizational processes and workflow. • Handle general office duties, such as filing, data entry, and correspondence. • Contribute to special projects and initiatives within the HR department as needed.• Proven experience in administrative or HR-related roles. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks. • Flexibility to occasionally work weekends for special events. • Familiarity with basic HR practices and procedures is preferred.
