THIS ROLE COVERS: Accounts mainly across US and Canada POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Jr Account Manager is to manage sales activities and customer relations of smaller accounts and prospects for the Powders & Cereal management and sales teams. The management of these accounts should result in increased purchases of existing or new products thereby elevating their growth. This entry level sales position is designed to facilitate the growth of smaller accounts while allowing the incumbent to develop into a regional account manager. Therefore, the Jr Account Manager is a resilient and agile learner who's both accountable and approachable and passionate about sales. Self-awareness, attention to detail as well as communication and presentation skills are critical to be successful in this role. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Plans, schedules, and makes regular (virtual) calls to assigned accounts and prospects; facilitates meetings for various company professionals to provide multi-level support and relationships to ensure effective service, customer relations, and administrative needs are met.
- Independently identifies customer needs and works closely with Balchem Marketing, Product Management, Product Development, Customer Service and Finance staff, etc., to deliver marketable products and solutions
- Communicates and maintains accurate sales forecasts and is both accountable and responsible for delivering budget and growth targets
- Responds to customer and prospect inquiries for samples, technical/quality/regulatory data as well as support on the use and application of products
- Works with Regional and Key Account Managers to advance growth of smaller accounts while identifying and cultivating prospects for growth
- Obtains and reports marketing data for successful achievement of business objectives and strategies; monitors trends, competitive activity, product development, and market penetration; recommends course of action to prevent loss of existing business and growth of new business
- Must comply with all policies and procedures of the corporation
- Perform other duties as required
