S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking a Senior Director of Commercial Finance to lead a substantial revenue portfolio. This critical role will report directly to the CFO while collaborating closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Head of the Customer Growth Office. - Commercial & Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Commercial Officer, providing financial insights and support to drive commercial success.
- Operational Planning & Divisional Target Setting: Lead the operational planning process across the organization, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
- Revenue Management & Analysis: Develop and implement strategies for revenue management, ensuring optimization of ACV (Annual Contract Value) and revenue recognition growth.
- Generative AI Models: Spearhead initiatives to integrate Generative AI technologies into financial processes, focusing on model training to enhance decision-making and predictive analytics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business goals and drive innovation through advanced analytics.
- Decision Support & Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide decision support to senior leadership through detailed financial analysis and reporting, including the development of ad hoc reports to meet evolving business needs.
- Strategic Leadership: Report directly to the Division CFO, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the finance function and shaping financial strategies that drive growth and operational efficiency.
- People Leadership: Mentor and develop your team to maximize their potential, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration across all finance functions.
- Progressive Tools & Technologies: Advocate for the use of advanced tools and platforms, including Salesforce, Anaplan, Alteryx, Tableau, and Oracle, to enhance financial operations. We are particularly interested in candidates who are passionate about leveraging automation and Generative AI technologies to innovate finance processes.Compensation/Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $ 148,257 to $259,889.25. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.What We're Looking For:Basic Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required; an MBA or CPA/Chartered Accountant designation is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in finance, with a focus on revenue management, operational planning, and commercial finance.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- A strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated results in transformation and efficiency in finance through innovative approaches, including the use of Generative AI technologies.
